Seems the old computer (gateway tower/pc)which hosts my photoshop just wants to beep a steady beep when I turn it on... with a black monitor.

Time to break down and get a laptop. That's what I did.
yeah...I have a laptop, but it won't function well if I load photoshop onto it.
Me thinks.
Wow - I have to do that too rot. That is, use the old computer with photoshop since the new computer has an updated operating system that will not work with my program. And I am to cheap to give those adobe bastards another 150 bucks for a program I already own. Such a scam.

OMG! We're having computer issues. And last year we realized we cannot update system software or photoshop will stop working.
A bunch of other people I know are having issues too.
Weird, maybe it's a bigger scam than we realize!

I feel your pain Rot. Been using just an iPad for over a year for everything but PS for the same reason, old laptop and old version of PS. Got a new IMac for Christmas and trying Adobe's monthly PS subscription service. Figure at the cost of a new version of PS it would be worth the $9.99 a month to always have the most current version. Jury is still out though, PS has made a lot of changes since version 5! Good luck!
Don't even get me started on computer crap. I'm so over technology.

Good news...I turned my computer on last night and it worked. No idea for how long..so I should have a new comic next Friday.
I still have to use my daughter's 2004 laptop to write the html to update my website. None of my old software will work with windows 8.
Such a hassle.
