we were laughing a few weeks back, how ET IS straight up Horror.

think of the Goodbye Girl tune....goodbye doesn't mean forever..doesn't mean we'll never be together again...hahahahahha....they should play that song over the abduction scene. Omggggggg....someone musta done that by now!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhh
ok....so i just listened to the full song...HAHAHAHHAHAH.. : )
I saw it for the first time with my Mother who is uber-Christian and she kept muttering in my ear during the abduction, "Those are demonic forces! Those are demons!" Then the knives flew off the wall... OH,CRAP!!! :-)
Must add, this soundtrack is John Williams swan song in my opinion. Truly brilliant.
Yeah, I heard/ read once (maybe from you?) about what should happen next to Dryfess after the ship doors close and they leave Earth. Cut to fire in the sky!
It's essentially Lovecraft's Call of Cthulhu retold with aliens.
