Going through old photos, and this one was a nice memory.
Just got done carving the pumpkins for this year's display and poured a nice drank: some Noble Oak bourbon, as one of the new jackos watched on (probably thankful I drank AFTER carving its face).
A fine drank. |
But then I noticed two ghostly figures in the reflection in the glass:
The one on the left looks like a ghostly monk. The one on the right looks like a ghostly Sleestak. |

I believe that is my bottle of Kraken, you got there.
I can never get enough of glowing Jacks, and....spirits.
haha. that stuff is great, right?
I believe neither one of them are ghostly spirits. I believe, sir, you were drunk. Haha
haha. You and the pumpkin...always judging (booze talking).
Hahaha. Maybe I am.
I meant me! haha
Spirits and halloween go great together!
Terry Lambert of CGP once gave me a recipe for a Halloween party we were having. The instructions were simple..
One pumpkin hollowed out,
1 bottle captain Morgan's spiced rum
And you take 2 packs of red hots and add a little bit of the rum in a sauce pan.
On low heat, you will melt the 2 packs of red hots with about a cup of the rum. Once liquifed dump this in the hollowed pumpkin, and add the rest of the rum.
You can also put this in a crock pot and serve warm, however the pumpkin adds some flavor and is preferred!!!
THAT right there is insane!! haha
I'd love to try such a thing!
It's worthy of a try for sure!!
I don’t drink much, but when I do, rum is my favorite. Kraken, especially. But I also love the CM Spiced. That recipe sounds very interesting, and what I like about it, is that it uses melty rum Red Hots, instead of cinnamon mouthwash...I mean, Fireball.
haha
do they even MAKE red hots anymore?
why am i picturing shiny red lentils?
Haha! Of course they do, kids need cavities, after all.
i'll keep a lookout.
Haha fireball just won't cut it! Red-hot is where it's at!
