Simplicity can often be far more unsettling than something more elaborate.
I would say, The Thing is probably in my top five favorite movies.
Favorite quote: Garry: I know you gentlemen have been through a lot. But when you find the time... I'd rather not spend the rest of the winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH!
Favorite Scene: I think it’s a tie between Copper’s arms breaking through Norris’ chest, and getting bitten off, or, the couch scene, when Palmer starts to flip out.
It's a pretty perfect film.
And those are amazing scenes.
