Mr. Haunted Eve's Favorite: Grist Iron Brewing's Headless Hessian Pumpkin Ale. It's a small craft brewery on the east side of Seneca Lake in the NY Finger Lakes. I first had it on tap at a restaurant in Ithaca, NY several years ago, perhaps fall 2018. It was excellent, not just pumpkin spice, but a fresh pumpkin flavor, yet the sweetness was balanced with just enough hops bitterness. This past weekend we were in the region and stopped at the actual brewery and they had it available in cans, so picked up a 6-pack. It's just as good as I remembered. It's worth a trip into the Finger Lakes!
Terrible and blunt. A bitter battering ram. If you drank the rain water that trickled through Edward Woodward’s ashes after the burning of the Wicker Man, you’d have this beer.
HAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!
PERFECTO!
Hands Down the BEST Review of ANYTHING EVER in ALL of History.<333333!!!
These guys are true heroes.
I would consider myself lucky to FIND any of these let alone critique them. Wishing I was with my friends back east. A simple trip to the local grocery store this time of year is simply heaven. 5 different pumpkin ales! Of course I would bring one of each home with me.
Mannn... im behind. I haven't found the first pumpkin beer this season :(
Autumnleaf..One of the Reviewers is the GREAT local artist Sam Heimer (Rot features him on here) who is also a bartender. Come back East to visit your friends & yall can grab some brews with Sam when/where he is bartending.
