i DON'T know if there will ever be another cinematic moment quite like this one in a horror film again. SO scary & intense! & Check out Justin Long wearing his Cpt. Kirk colors! haha.<3
Ugh. Forever ago! & The ending is SO painful. The unveiling of what happened to Darry was heartbreaking for me to watch. i just felt SO sad. This movie is Primo.
WAY back in High School we read this short story called, "Duel". It was riveting. Some years later Dennis Weaver was the unfortunate driver of the car in the film version. This scene reminds me of Duel. The WHOLE film was about this faceless semi driver in a battle of wits with the poor guy in the car. I'll NEVER forget the story.....especially when seeing a semi truck coming up in my rear view mirror.
This is a very underrated movie, I think it's excellent. You never do get to know why he takes some people, and leaves the others alone. Except for scaring the crap out of them of course.

Yeah, Doubtful. I loved both of those characters SO much too. That rarely happens in modern films.
Ugh, it came out in 2001. That's hard to process.

Yup! DUEL is amazing!
There's a horror film called Joy Ride with Paul Walker & Steve Zahn that tries dipping from the "Duel" well but, eh i don't know.
I saw that back when it came out... forgettable but I feel like it was fun at the time. I'd never dare watch it now.
It does have its fun moments.
Ted Levine is actually the voice of the killer that you NEVER see. He's only the voice tho not the physical actor.
From just the image alone, you can absolutely hear that insane blaring horn in your head, and feel the tension gather in your body.
Of course, I went ahead and clicked through to the clip, anyway! ;)
