The Third

When it came near him, Scrooge bent down upon his knee; for in the very air through which this Spirit moved it seemed to scatter gloom and mystery. It was shrouded in a deep black garment, which concealed its head, its face, its form, and left nothing of it visible, save one outstretched hand. But for this, it would have been difficult to detach its figure from the night and separate it from the darkness by which it was surrounded.

Post-Ghost Scrooge

Man, I love the final act of this telling of A Christmas Carol.  I wish George C. Scott were my uncle.

Time And Spirits

External heat and cold had little influence on Scrooge.  No warmth could warm, no wintry weather chill him.  No wind that blew was bitterer than he, no falling snow was more intent upon its purpose, no pelting rain less open to entreaty.  Foul weather didn't know where to have him.  The heaviest rain, and snow, and hail, and sleet, could boast of the advantage over him in only one respect.  They often "came down" handsomely, and Scrooge never did.

My personal favorite of the Scrooge actors - George C. Scott.

Christmas Decoration Idea

Before I drifted off to sleep last night, I thought of something that would make a pretty neat and classy Christmas decoration - The Ghost of Christmas Future pointing to Ebeneezer's overgrown tombstone. I'd use a variation of my Cloaked Ghost with darker coloring and perhaps some glistening strips of fabric. I did a few searches and couldn't find any versions of this concept as a Christmas display.

It'd be mighty cool when it snowed.

The Ghosts Of Christmas Future

Before I die, I'd love to design and build a Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come costume for a stage performance of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. I'd make sure it was at least eight feet tall.
