I colored the white glue mache mixture with black acrylic paint so I could see her with a little color while she's drying. I'm thinking I'll be doing this from now on with all of my props. As the mache hardens, it's getting darker and darker. This will make it easier to paint when it comes time for the base coat.

She looks great! I agree, bent witch hats are cool and so are skull faced witches.
The mache with the paint in it is a good idea, and it looks pretty cool too.
It's cool because it will make it easier to paint it if the mache is dark and not bright white. I'll use less base coat paint.
Still a lot to do on the prop.
I hate waiting for mache to dry.

That's a great idea. It will make getting paint into all the little nooks and crannies less important. I usually spray paint mine from all angles and still seem to miss a few spots in some of the wrinkles.
Ahhh, yes! That is beautiful, I know now what I must strive to fill my yard with this Halloween season...zombies, skeletons, all presided over by a sinister skeletal witch! I feel like I have made it through the mid-winter doldrums now and actually get to work! Once again, thanks Rot!
