Added more cheese cloth to the body and hat, and patched some spots on her body with glue mache. Going to paint her up this weekend.

dreamy girl.
this is fantastic rot!
outstanding work!
i check your blog multiple times a day and am stunned by your creativity.
do you use a new skull for each individual masterpiece?
Most of my recent zombies/creatures have a mache head made from mache molds of a plastic skull. Two of my Corn Witch victims were made using walgreens skulls. So this Skull Witch is a converted CW victim.
It's fun using the store-bought skulls. I haven't done that in a long time.
yeah, thats it! nice, very nice. Did you ever consider conducting an informal class or lecture? I think many would attend, I know I would!
fantastic...just fantastic...I want this one! actually, I want all of them but this one is close to my heart (along with the rotten one with pumpkin seeds spilling out) wonderful work!
: D
Thanks!
Never considered doing any kind of class. May years ago, an old boss of mine MADE me volunteer to teach her son's class how to make shrunken apple heads. It was horrible. I was a wreck. And since they were small children, my old boss figured that the safest way to prevent the kids from stabbing themselves or each other would be to have ME take requests from EACH kid and carve a personalized face (we pre-peeled thirty apples before the event).
I seemed to be a hit with the kids, but my nerves were totally shot. Just not cut out for teaching in that kind of a setting.
I would not buy an apple from her. Not even if I liked apples.
She is beautiful! Well done.
I've done a couple of demos at Ironstock. Its not easy. You forget things, materials misplaced, Lose your train of thought...
Although I dont think you need to "teach" verbally. Your techniques are quite visual. Trial and error. It would be like watching sign language. The hands flowing and saying so much. I could watch you create something for hours without you saying a word.
Name the time and place and I would do the road trip.(just nothing around Halloween time)
Looks great! I used some foam skulls this past year, and covered them in burlap for the heads of three of my scarecrows. It saved a LOT of time doing it that way.
