Frustrated that all of the pumpkins up until this point would turn yellow, shrivel up, and drop to the ground. A horrible wrinkled death.
The pumpkinless vines had taken over the yard, and I started thinking well, at least I'll have the vines. But today - a six inch pumpkin obscured by some taller grass.
It was like finding a golden egg.
Some other little guys seem promising too.
The two on the right have white blossoms - some form of brown gourd.

What type of pumpkins are they?
Not really sure about the pumpkins. A bunch grew from our rotted pumpkins from last year, since we like to leave a lot of seeds in them. I should really know more about different types of pumpkins.
Guess it'll be a surprise.
Rot, you definitely have some kind of gourd growing in there as well (the white blossoms)...should be fun!! GO Pumpkins!!
Rot, I've grown pumpkins for the last four years and I read a tip online on how to keep your baby pumpkins from shriveling up and dying. Here is the tip: You have to hand pollinate the female flower with the pumpkin growing from the base. Meaning, take a male flower, a flower without a pumpkin and one stamen, break it off the vine when a female flower has blossomed and rub the male flower inside the female flower stamen(she has four to five finger like things in a circle). When baby p's die its because they have not been pollinated. I hope this trick works for you too!

Yeah Pumpkins!
Sadly all mine in my burn patch died.. however there is one in the front yard that has produced 2 nice size pie pumpkins!! Congreats on the find!!!

Isn't that a wonderful find!!! I have a pumpkin patch that has yet to show even what you have! I will hope for the best!
My patch has been a bit bare as well, but we do have 1 8 in pumpkin for sure and a couple of "hopefuls". I started hand pollinating last week. *crosses fingers* Happy Gardening!
