The swamp pictures were creepy, but the ones at the abandoned factory were bangin'! A really chilling, eerie impact they gave to the already bleak landscape.

I don't know if it was one of your props or just someone standing way in the back by the building, but my eye kept being drawn to that figure.

Nice job as always.

Yup. That was a one-armed zombie back there...facing the door. : )

Thanks, man!

Not to sound disappointed, but my first thought upon seeing Creepshow was "What?! What are the TOT's going to get?". And (chuckle) my mom who also is also a follower of your blog had the same reaction! Don't get me wrong, the Creepshow was really fun to watch, it is just that part of the mystique is wishing I could see your haunt in person. It seemed to me that this year, *no one did*. Anywoo, it is your show and I still appreciate your work a ton. Terrific job and when is M. Dougherty going to bring you on as an artistic advisor?

Yeah, that zombie in the background really helps make those shots. Sometimes it's the little details. :)

I LOVE the swamp pictures and the factory/warehosue shots. But man, those alphabetical tinies shots are just chock-full of character and old-school flavor.

This year is a real treat. :)

You guys were my trick or treaters this year...

I agree with GoneFeral. It was put beautifully. I didn't want to be Debbie Downer but I was also confused at first as to why you chose to do it the way you did. Of course, this seemed to be your best stuff but I kept thinking about your parents' house and the kids that look for your display each year and wondering if they were disappointed.

I wanted to respond here after watching the video a third and fourth time on YouTube to say that watching it on Halloween night in the dark, as an end to my night, was really awesome. My husband and I enjoyed it and thought it was a neat way to end October 31st. I looked forward to it all year and we were treated to being able to see your creations the night *of* instead of Nov.1st. I loved that.

So, after reading your comment to Feral, Rot, if you truly meant this year's display to be for us as the ToTers? You. Freaking. Rock.

Hey Sara,
Yup. I meant it.

Oh! Almost forgot to mention, I have no idea if it was done on purpose or not, but I really loved the opening scene in front of the bridge: Camera on the ground, leaves blowing into view.Very Carpenter-esque, Halloween.

Good point. I didn't get to see any other haunts on the big night.

Looks like you had alot of fun doing your haunt this way, I love it. Im not sure where to start, much of what I want to say has pretty much been said. I look forward to your haunt almost as much as I look forward to Halloween every year.

Totally cool, the zombies in the industrial part of town are too cool, the swamp zombie is also just killer. Your stuff is very organic this year, they looked like they just were part of the landscape, which is always much scarier than something that looks like it doesn't belong. Cant wait to come back for more, still taking my stuff down and trying to get some pics up. Thanks again Rot, loved the Haunt, its always a real treat.

btw, I finally saw Darkrose Manor here in aurora colorado in person , and holy shit was it just sweet as hell. I live about 5 minutes from their house, it was so cool to see a really nice yard haunt in person.
