Sugar Bob's

I'm a guy who loves smoked foods (and drinks).  We're talking REALLY smoked.  Like campfire embers in your mouth.  Had some really nice smoked beer recently.  I even occasionally smoke my cats so their fur leaves a smoky residue on my hands and face (made that part up).

My brother gave me a bottle of Sugar Bob's Smoked Maple Syrup for Christmas and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes extreme smoke in their food (specifically in their waffles or pancakes [or mixed drinks]).  It's like someone poured a dark maple syrup down my chimney and sat at the bottom running it through a filter (it's REALLY smoky).

Winter Recommendation

If you have a Trader Joe's near you...

A sweetened blend of black currant, apple, and lemon juices, with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, cardamom, ginger, and orange peel, this is a fruit punch whose flavors and aromas evoke the holidays. You can serve it chilled, over ice, or warmed, in a big mug, with a cinnamon stick garnish. It's also a merry mixer with red wine, simmered on the stovetop and served steaming.

Now Drinking: Super Spiced

Mix this stuff with some of that apple cider the supermarkets sell this time of year...the ones that are spiced...and you have yourself something awesome.

Spiced Apple Brew

We found some of this today and it's insane.
A Halloween drink for sure.

Reed’s Spiced Apple Ginger Brew was our fifth creation, and is a Jamaican recipe for homemade ginger ale using 8 grams of fresh ginger root, apple and lemon juice, honey, herbs and spices. It is 50% fruit juice.

Botanically Brewed

Full-strength infusions of dandelion leaves and burdock root, sweetened with pear juice and spiced with a touch of ginger and anise, all intermingle to create this unmistakably classic British soda.

- Juice of half lemon
- Ginger ale

Mix bourbon, orange juice and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour into a tall glass. Top with ginger ale and garnish with Halloween-faced olives. (To make the Halloween olives, choose large unpitted green olives)

"Halloween-faced olives" - this recipe is a gas.
