Absinthe Completed

Finished the absinthe last night and now have a deep green and earthy concentrated mixture of the bitter drink to be diluted with cold water and sugar. Here's a pic of the first prepared glass of my Green Devil absinthe, featured with my new Wysocki print that just arrived yesterday.

Removed the large packet of herbs, poured the pre-absinthe through a coffee filter, and added the coloring packet. It has to sit for another three days. Then it's hallucination time.

Which Reminds Me...

I'll be working on the Absinthe this evening after its initial five-day soaking period. Phase two of its creation. I'll snap a few pics.

A jar, a bottle of Everclear, a bottle of Vodka, and a pouch of absinthe herbs.

Today my brother gave me an Absinthe Brewing Kit from the Green Devil company. Pretty excited about giving it a try. I'm thinking I'll give updates on how it's progressing (the stuff has to brew for a while).
