Ghost Pumpkin

This guy spent most of the winter in the yard covered by snow and ice.  After he thawed, I kept him elevated with holes in the bottom for draining.  The sun slowly dried him out.

Corrupted Blind Sentinel

Old photo from when I finished this guy for the Scarecrow Catacomb.  I figured he would be something that Mr. Jones built which was going to eventually be a Blind Sentinel, but for one reason or another, he left it and moved on to other scarecrows.  I wanted it to feel unfinished and un-whole...and stunted.

Took out some of the darker/grainier video and added some still images for a little clarity.

Bud

The Day After

We woke to heavy wind and rain.  All the cornstalks were trashed by Miss Nature.  The only prop I left out there, the CowHead crow, was toppled (skull undamaged).

Here are some photos that I snapped for the brief moment yesterday when the sun decided to show up.  They feel like November 1st to me.

Halloween Is Almost Over

Success.  The rain held off til everyone was gone.  Some heavy winds occasionally came through, pushing over my stalks and blowing out some candles, but everything held up just fine.  After I put the scarecrows in the garage, I started pulling the cords to the lights and stopped after the orange bulbs went dark.  Loved how just the outer blue bulbs looked with the jackos.

So imagine a light rain falling to these shots...

Not a bad way to end Halloween.

Halloween Day

All ready for the evening.  As we say in these parts, it was spitting earlier, so I threw some plastic bags over the Sentinels.  Hopefully the rain holds off til late.

Again, Happy Halloween, everyone.
