Old Jack

Dried up guy in the neighborhood.  He's dreaming of Halloween for sure (assumption).

Just an observation:  He looks nervous.

Spring

A Light exists in Spring
Not present on the Year
At any other period —
When March is scarcely here

A Color stands abroad
On Solitary Fields
That Science cannot overtake
But Human Nature feels.

It waits upon the Lawn,
It shows the furthest Tree
Upon the furthest Slope you know
It almost speaks to you.

- Emily Dickinson

Still not looking like a Dark Garden, but everything's coming in pretty well out there.

Fridays, Man

Kicking off the weekend with a [bourbon] Black Manhattan (my rye whiskey mysteriously disappeared).

2 ounces (4 tablespoons) bourbon or rye whiskey
1 ounce (2 tablespoons) Italian amaro, like Averna
1 dash Angostura bitters
1 dash orange bitters
For the garnish: Cocktail cherry or Luxardo cherry
