Hollow Scarecrow

Pic from last year's haunt.

I've happily used my Hollow scarecrow for the last two years. This year I'm going to use something else on the porch. But I ain't sayin' what.

Do the kids have to walk under the outstretched arms of that? If so, that is awesome... I probably would have had to stop and think about that one for a minute when I was a kid.

For as long as I can remember, the neighbor that shares the porch with my parents just gave up giving out candy. I'll sit below that scarecrow, on the cement steps, and give out candy to the kids. So the doors are off limits : )
Here's an old pic of how it works

Yeah, I would REALLY have to stop and think about that one. Especially after all the Halloween movies I had seen up to that point.

On a different subject... we had a guy who was dressed up as Michael Myers who came and hung around our yard haunt last year for a little while. To this day I don't know who it was. He just walked up from somewhere in the neighborhood I guess. I didn't mind it because it was really spooky even to me to not know who it was and watch him just standing around staring at people. I guess most people thought it was someone I had asked to come over, but it wasn't. Maybe he'll be back this year.
