Rotten Radio

I've been wanting to post some playlists of music. I should stress that the emphasis is on the music and not the videos (since I pulled them together using youtube).

So the intent here is to share some music that I dig, with the hopes that you'll minimize the window and work on other things while it's playing. Hope you dig.

Click below to launch the youtube playlist, then click on "Play All Videos":

Mystic

Decided to experiment and buy some incense sticks from a company other than Gonesh since I was looking for something very specific - black licorice. Mystic Ways came up after a quick search and I placed my order for anise, nutmeg, and pumpkin. It took two days to get here. That's crazy fast. I could smell the three mingled scents when I lifted the box. Very nice.

Incense sticks are tricky. The pre-flame and post-flame scents are obviously going to be pretty different. And often times the post-flame smoke ends up smelling like a pretty bland and standard incense. That's why I love Gonesh incense so much. The smoke scent is darn close to the unlit scent.

Mystic Ways' sticks are intense in their pre-flame state. Like store-on-the-back-porch intense. It's impressive. The house smells of licorice and spice. So when they're burning, you can smell both aromas. Which is neat. The nutmeg and pumpkin post-flame scents are creamy and light. The anise is dark and sweet.

Good prices. Quick delivery.

House Of Horrors

Neat photos from a haunted attraction in Buffalo New York.
It's always confusing to me how some haunted attractions spend thousands of dollars on cool props only to use a flash setting for their promotional photos. I see it all the time.

The House of Horrors does it right.

Fire In Her Eyes

Literally.
Very cool design for a witch prop, featuring a real candle inside her vile head.

This is truly a menacing prop. Even her shadow is creepy.

Thanks, Jeremy. These are GREAT.

The Ghost Train

Giger had long wanted to build his Ghost Train, an idea dating back to his childhood, borne from a fascination with trains. It later became a recurring theme in his artwork. He tried incorporating it into former aborted film projects, such as the Alejandro Jodorowsky version of DUNE and Ridley Scott's THE TRAIN. In fact, the locomotive skulls on the SPECIES train bear a resemblance to the 1976 painting he made for DUNE. Giger thought SPECIES a natural fulfillment of his dream, as it could allow him to realize, in a working 3-dimensional form, a lifelong passion.

A video.

Thanks, Michelle. Never knew about this.

Yes, They're Mortal, And They Do Die

Philip Schneider claimed to be an ex-government structural engineer who was involved in building underground military bases around the United States , and to be one of only three people to survive an incident that occurred in 1979 between Grey aliens and U.S. military forces at the Dulce underground base .
For the last two years of his life, Schneider gave lectures about government cover-ups, black budgets, and UFOs.
Schneider was found dead in his apartment on January 17 1996.

Halloween Reading

I featured this book a few times on my old BREWING page before I moved to Blogger. I picked this up back when it was first released. If I were a Halloween preacher, this would be my Halloween bible. The pages and cover are soft and worn. It's packed with stories, lists, poems, and memories. Truly a Celebration of Halloween (as the cover states).

Currently out of print, but used copies are pretty reasonably priced.
