Dranks Of The Season

Going through old photos, and this one was a nice memory.

Just got done carving the pumpkins for this year's display and poured a nice drank:  some Noble Oak bourbon, as one of the new jackos watched on (probably thankful I drank AFTER carving its face).

A fine drank.

But then I noticed two ghostly figures in the reflection in the glass:
The one on the left looks like a ghostly monk.  The one on the right looks like a ghostly Sleestak.

Evil Vines Cemetery 2021

Always neat stuff to see at this rat-infested cemetery.  Definitely might buy a plot for my folks here ('plot'...singular...to save money).

The Shot

There's always that one shot that sums it all up and captures what the Haunter intended for their display.

The below is totally that shot.

The York Park Haunting

These are some top-of-the-line Wire Ghosts.

I've always loved this effect, but have never seen them made so well nor so detailed ('nor' haha).

The Banshee

How oft has the Banshee cried,
How oft has death untied
Bright links that Glory wove,
Sweet bonds entwined by Love!
Peace to each manly soul that sleepeth;
Rest to each faithful eye that weepeth;
Long may the fair and brave
Sigh o'er the hero's grave.

We're fallen upon gloomy days!
Star after star decays,
Every bright name, that shed
Light o'er the land, is fled.
Dark falls the tear of him who mourneth
Lost joy, or hope that ne'er returneth;
But brightly flows the tear,
Wept o'er a hero's bier.

Quenched are our beacon lights--
Thou, of the Hundred Fights!
Thou, on whose burning tongue
Truth, peace, and freedom hung!
Both mute,--but long as valor shineth,
Or Mercy's soul at war repineth,
So long shall Erin's pride
Tell how they lived and died.

Hill House Halloween

No one gave a thought to the older worlds of space as sources of human danger, or thought of them only to dismiss the idea of life upon them as impossible or improbable.

Toad's Barrows

I always heard the tales about Toad's Barrows, but figured they were just some kind of ghost story.  Well, today, deep in the woods on an early morning walk, I think I found them.  At first the markers blended in with the trees and leaves, but then I noticed they were all around me, and spreading off into the distance, deeper into the woods.  I got out of there pretty fast.  And only got this one photo.

Halloween 2021: SAMHAIN (Or A Tale Of Two Cameras)

Old camera on the left...

Been using a very old Sony digital camera since 2011 to photograph my Haunt.  This year I took two sets of photos using two different cameras, and I went with the photos from the new one due to the detail and colors I was seeing.

My old camera tends to be a bit on the dark side, and the new one a tad on the bright side (despite making setting adjustments or photo edits).  Reality lies somewhere in the middle.

But I wanted to share the photos from my old camera below.  I think they came out pretty neat and definitely captured some of how it really felt to be there on Halloween night.
