Something Wicked This Way Comes

Been crazy busy here. We're moving at the end of May, and can't wait. Tree-lined streets and a neighborhood that looks particularly perfect for enjoying late October evenings.

The neighbors are in for a treat.

Hmmm, do I detect a new location of the Haunt?

As a haunter moving into a new neighborhood is always a treat. Almost the entire summer last year we had our new neighbors stop and check out what whatever I was working on outdoors or with the garage open. It was a great way to meet them. Turned out the hood really didn't do much for Halloween before. But the reception was warm and the turnout pretty good.

Looking forward to hearing more.

We always did the haunt at my folks' house since it was more Halloween-friendly compared to where we live now.

This new neighborhood looks like the perfect backdrop for my natural/organic style : )

This will be so fun! Congrats and I hope your future Halloweens there will really make an impact on your neighbors, lol.

Last year we moved into our new home only two weeks before Halloween, so it was more about decorating than creating a haunt. Still, the kids and parents loved my husband's work. We live in a stone house built in 1820-PERFECT!

Good luck with the move...

Congratulations on the move Rot, and best of luck. Closer to the city or into the burbs?

Don't tell me, you and Bean are moving to Boise! Ha ha. Congrats on the new place.

Pumpkin Patch, gingerbread or Apple Cider? So hard to choose.

Actually, there are a couple houses in the area around here painted in pumpkin colors, orange with green trim. Good look, I've considered it for our place.

Please tell me you are moving more East. Closer to your old stomping grounds of New Jersey?

How exciting!! A new canvas!!

When we moved in to our current house the neighbors were surprised when we carried in a coffin from the moving van.

Thanks : )

Suburbia bound.

But still in Pennsylvania.

Hope your move goes as smoothly as these things can go, Rot. Patience, patience, & more patience- it'll all get done eventually!

Robert, I had a similar experience when one of our new neighbors came by because, "Franky was skateboarding & he said you folks were carrying someone with no head into your backyard. Um, that's for Halloween decorating....right?"

Ah yes, a new house for more haunt possibilities! Too bad your not moving to my block....you could help me get these people on the Halloween spirit!

Can't wait to see some pictures of the house! Pa is a great Halloween state.

Congratulations! Good luck with the move, and with the haunt this year- a new yard to work with. I kinda miss your underground workshop, with the star made of twigs on one of the beams. And that little cellar where you took pics of rotten hill. And your awesome treehouse bedroom with the cool ceiling. I was just getting to know your house (I am such a stalker).

Be sure to post some pics!

Going to have a basement and a garage and a craft room of sorts, so we're pretty stoked. Tons of space for prop-building.

have fun you guys...I should think you'll be so motivated to create after you get settled! (and that's very good for the rest of us...)

How fun! Congrats on the move. Having a new palette to overlay your designs on is such a pleasure.

We expect to see a lot of photos of the move in!

Moving is so stressful but so fun!! I hope your neighbors rock, and I hope we get details the day after Halloween on how much fun it was at your new place! :)Congratulations!

Can't wait to see what you do with a new haunt. Are you going to incorporate the garage. I wish I lived in your Neighborhood for the moving sale :)

Not really sure yet.

Hey, congrats. We just moved about two months ago. This new yard is LE PERFECT for a cemetery...bahaha. And it has a large front window which was practically built to house a FCG. I have no idea how much in the spirit these guys get, but we're rather close to an elementary school and the bus goes right past our house every morning...

So exciting. Have fun with the new digs, can't wait to see this year's haunt.

Be sure to post pictures of the new street! We're hoping to move into such an area ourselves here in Utah called Yalecrest. And the funny thing is the #1 thing that draws me to that area is how it will look at Halloween!
