Dear Disney Fans,
Please, PLEASE, when visiting Disneyworld/Disneyland during the Halloween season, don't take and post so many photos of the parade. A hundred photos can easily be whittled down to ten or fifteen really good ones. And Disney and Halloween kinda go together like the Great Pyramids and Christmas anyways, so maybe just keep the photos on your home computer.

Let's not be elitist, now. While I prefer my Halloween celebrations to be more rustic and spooky, it is a holiday for everyone, not just hardcore people. Disney has had many a Halloween triumph in the past and the Disney Halloween is an "alternative" for some people. At least it is not some horribly misguided church function that attempts to take the pagan out of the season by calling it a "Harvest Festival", painfully unaware of how much more pagan that is. Disney is bright and happy and commercial, it is true, and it is not for me, but it keeps the season lucrative, which is what is neccessary to keep it observed. While I agree that a hundred photos of on parade is a bit much, I feel certain you had the freedom to simply not look at them; am I mistaken? Try to look on the gloomy side: you could download all the photos, put them into a slideshow, set the timer for "way too fast" and it would be like an old timey silent movie.
Apparently I don't do satire very well.
This came about due to my daily hunts for Halloween material and this time of year is rough because I flip through hundreds and hundreds of Disney parades...
So I actually do have to sift through thumbnail after thumbnail of Ducks in costumes and mousehead-shaped jackos.
It's a rough life.

So these hundreds and hundreds of pictures are from different sources, it would seem.
If nothing else we can conclude that Disney Halloween photos are popular with online bloggers and such. Because Disney would charge for those photos. If it is one thing Disney does not give away it is product identity. Good feelings? Yes, if you've got the dosh.
Satire and sarcasm are awfully hard to express electronically. One really needs that vocal inflection.
Now that I think about it, that Donald is entirely TOO happy. Donald usually has attitude, and this one is just smiling away...and if you think about that too long the horror of it all is revealed. Cue dramatic music.
Hundreds of photos from many different people...example: Flickr.com...searches for "Halloween" will pull up pages and pages by the same user...of the same parade...I swear sometimes if I overlapped the photos, it would be a fully-functioning animated film of the entire parade.
Same goes for Baby's first Halloween...though I'll cut them some slack on that one : )

Although I heart mY Disney, I do hate parade pics.Live in the now, man! Stop taking so many dang photos and just experience it! (I'm obviously talking to the tons of Disney parade fans reading here, duh). :D
I'll be honest: I USED to like Disney *shame*. Then I found Halloween. Now I've gone from being weird, to being weird and BAD ASS!
A couple years back I went to The Magic Kingdom's Halloween event, "Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party." For parents with little ones, it's a nice alternative to the other nearby theme park events, Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Howl-O-Scream in Tampa, which are decidedly R-rated.
Admittedly, it was not to my taste, but the Halloween parade at the end of the night had a cool finale; after all the floats had passed and the music was fading, the streetlights all went out and the sound of howling wind played as a voice read some key lines from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Then the Headless Horseman came thundering down the street on a huge black horse, carrying an actual flaming jack o' lantern. Great analog to Santa following the Macy's parade, and a cool way to end the night. :)

It's not like you've been known to hold back with your photo taking, though you do cut them down for Flickr.
And don't take this the wrong way. PLEASE continue to take hundreds of photos. Infact, take EVEN MORE this year...
Comparing my work to a Disney parade. For that comment, I'll take even less this year.
My goodness it's like I stumbled into an AARP meeting in here! CHEER UP people, it's only 17 days until Halloween! Who cares who takes pictures of what - this is the season of magic!!! Lets all take pictures of what we find creepy, fun, horrific, or otherwise, post them where we see fit, and just enjoy the fact that we have each others company through the best season of the year!

In general, the House of Mouse irritates me. But as a runner, I covet their race finisher's medals. Thus, I hope to make the pilgrimage for a Halloween race at the park.
There's always the Haunted Mansion. Plus, all those Imagineers. God Save the Imagineers.
As a former Disneyland employee: I AGREE. Everyone take a thousand photos, and no one ever just enjoys the parade. Oh, and the Halloween Tree in Frontier Land does not get enough attention. OH OH! and space mountain should not be made in to ghost galaxy... that's just weird.
I could go on, but I won't.
On a side note, their ticket prices are frightening.

And as far as "Baby's First Halloween", I've always wanted to create an infant shirt on Zazzle with "Baby's Last Halloween" on it.
