Cinema Of The Afterlife
A neat book review over at Theofantastique.com - Ghost Images: Cinema of the Afterlife, which explores ghosts as they're depicted in film.

It's been a long week and it's only Tuesday.
And this strange prop reminded me of a faux Confucius saying.

Someone In The Attic
It sounding almost like... A creaking sound. I suspected it was the garage mechanisms on the ceiling. Although they were not in any use, it couldn't have been them. But my eyes quickly caught onto the styrofoam square covering the cutout in the ceiling that led to the attic. I saw it partially open, and slowly closing. I almost died. I couldn't breathe. I ran out of that room SO fast, and QUICKLY closed, and locked, the door. I quickly grabbed my Mom's arm and whispered: We need to get out of the house, NOW!

It's Still Down There, And So Are Those Kids
The kids didn’t know that over the years, their parents had become exhausted, embarrassed. And they were willing to do anything to ease their burden. So one day, the parents approached the bus driver and made him an offer. With the money they collected together, they asked him to do the unthinkable.
It almost worked perfectly.

Chartreuse
The sky is purple, the flare of a match behind a cupped hand is gold; the liquor is green, bright green, made from a thousand herbs, made from altars. Those who know enough to drink Chartreuse at Mardi Gras are lucky, because the distilled essence of the town burns in their bellies. Chartreuse glows in the dark, and if you drink enough of it, your eyes will turn bright green.
