Halloween Shopping

Decided to go check out some stores that usually have amazing Halloween displays. Didn't expect the full monty, though. Can't believe that it's only August 10th and THIS much Halloween was out already.

Man, I wish I lived up there. People seem to be so much more into Halloween, plus most of the scary books I read have settings in Pennsylvania. Some of the coolest people I have ever met were also there when I visited Butler, PA with a friend of mine years ago.

EEEE! Know what I hate? When they go straight from fourth of July to Christmas, completely omitting Halloween. RAGE!

I know my local michaels has about 3-4 aisles of Halloween stuff out already..I get my discounts there soo i've been picking up some stuff there recently. This week I think i'm going to be checking out Big Lots & maybe Walgreens because I know they usually have their stuff out around this time. Another week or two iParty and AC More should have their stuff and so should where i work, Target. I'll try and keep you guys updated on any other stores i know of that has their displays out.

I was wondering about Target.

The A C Moore near me put some Halloween stuff out already, but nothing compared to Michael's.

The stores today were phenomenal.
Always so much fun shopping for Halloween stuff in Pennsylvania (sorry, Grim) ; )

Yeah I asked one of my managers about when we're getting our halloween stuff out and he thought mid/late august so it should be coming soon.

Looks like i'll have to check out the AC Moore in the mall to see what they got, thanks rot!

Argghh!!! That is awesome! I wish that place was near me! Michael's near me has a whole aisle of Halloween stuff already, and Walmart has Halloween (and Christmas) fabric. I didn't see anything else, though, but I bet it's there any time now. One of the best Halloween stores is in Old Sacramento. It's called Evangeline's Costume Mansion. It's a two-story building, and the whole upstairs part is the costume part. It's only open for the Halloween season, and it's almost like a haunted house, with props and stuff hanging everywhere. I just realized it's open NOW! I am so there!

That second to last pic is my absolute favorite. Great shot.

Thanks, jon.
I always feel like I'm doing something wrong when I'm snapping pics in stores. Like I'm a spy for the competitor.

Going to make a trip soon to another great place that had half of its decorations up. They always have an amazing display.

Do you guys also get that big chain store called 'Spirit Halloween'?

http://www.spirithalloween.com/

We get several different locations in my area; always a very fun place to go shopping. I want their huge blown-up haunted house. that would be awesome.

Yep, Spirit stores are here too.
I usually hit them up the days before Halloween in a nervous panic in search of more fog juice for my fogger.

Nope. I live in Manchester,NH and the stores I can think of right now that are close by are: Target, iParty, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Home Depot, Michaels, K-Mart, Big Lots, AC Moore, The dollar Tree, the seasonal store in the mall, and Spencer's in the mall as well which gets some REALLY great props and other decorations!
