Campfire Treat

The joys of camp . . . mesmerized by the fire, singing and laughing, while toasting marshmallows to rich, gooey perfection!

A potentially Halloween-ish scent from YankeeThough as an inmate of a summer day camp for a few weeks when I was young, I find the phrase "joys of camp" appalling

They should add an earthy hay/grass scent to it and rename it Halloween Hayride for the upcoming Fall season.

I like the idea of Halloween Hayride scent. Don't know about this scent though. Not to crazy about really sweet smelling candles.

I never had to endure the pains of summer camp, thank God.

Does Yankee Candle have a fragrance suggestion box?

I like that Yankee is doing a fun summer scent but I want to smell this in person first before buying.

I think there's a customer feedback form for suggestions...I wonder if they'd listen if a hundred people said "make one that smells like a charred pumpkin mixed with clove"

it's Amazing how scent can instantly transport you to another place & time..it Can even be overwhelming.

& the price of a candle is such a small expense, compared to the gift of Nostalgia.

i would LOVE to smell this interpretation of "campfire treat".

......and of course they would have to call it Pumpkinrot.

I just sent a e-mail to them saying I would like to see a candle with the scent of charred pumpkin with a hint of clove. :)

We got votives of this one. I really like it...does have more of a fall like scent to it. I dig the idea of the Halloween Hayride scent. Hay without sneezing. Love it!

@ Girl6 Totally agree. It's amazing how a scent recalls a place or time, much like a song does!

Ok, went and smelled it and hated it. Too flowery for me for a candle with a name that is the opposite of floral. I lamented to the salesclerk. She agreed it was very perfume-y. Anyway, I am going to wait for Bath and Body Works to release their scents for fall. Now Rot, I KNOW you wouldn't enter their stores but Bean would, right?:) Their candle scents are very dead on most of the time and I know their fall line is raved about. I have yet to smell a fall one as I just became a fan in the last 4 months or so. I'd rather have a marshmallow candle smell like marshmallow instead of marshmallow and flowers. That is, if I can't have one smell like marshmallow AND campfire.

Also, worth noting, BBW return policy on candles, as I recently discovered, rocks. You can return a candle from ANY year with ANY amount burned for a complete exchange and even refund in some cases. I did just that. I bought to candles, they made me sick, I returned them after several burnings and got two that I absolutely love.

Just putting it out there! :)

I believe I'd enter the store with bean at my side ; )

Or stand in the entrance and shout questions about the scents to bean from a distance.

That is freaking hilarious. :)
Do it.

I'm putting my candle scent request in now with you (as I'm confidant that since you are on the brink of major stardom, candle distributors will indeed be knocking at your door any second to ask for ideas):

So, I'm thinking of a scent that smells like the bottom of a Halloween treat bag would be kick-ass. Like, Tootsie Roll, Skittles and Candy Corn. They can call it "Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet". Too long? Then, I'd like to request a scent that smells like Halloween Face Make-up. Those little tubes of white and green stuff? Yeah! And they can call it "Costume Contest". Or "Masquerade".

Ok, ok, you can suggest they add clove or charred whatever to them. I'm cool with that. :)

those would be perfect scents.

And the name "trick or treat. smell my feet" is a GREAT name.
