How long to build him? Out of curiosity...
Basis behind the pose?

On and off after work it took about three and a half weeks... built the hands first...then did the center to make sure I could figure out a way to secure him to the box. There's a weight in the box/seat...and a bent pvc pipe attached to the weight and coming up through the box top and going straight up to the neck.

The pose: I needed him to look like he climbed down off of the post and stopped to get warm by the fire, before moving off. So he needed to look completely still, but not lifeless. Just more tired and thinking about the next move.

The other two scarecrows... they too will eventually come down, though they feel more timid about it, like they'll just stay up there long after he moves away.

But all three posts will be standing there come morning.... scarecrow-less
