Yes, the tattered cloth... somehow that was an unexpected highlight. It continued what the tattered cloth around the Builders' fingers had begun. You and Wren have really created something unique and coherent. Every detail doesn't just seem random, it had to be exactly like that.

I bought a very cheap set of dark gray bed sheets and then ripped it into shreds of different sizes. Some were two feet by the length of the sheet...others were very narrow.. but most ran the full length of the bed sheet. I took a mixture of water and acrylic paint (light brown and green) and sloppily painted them in spots and then hung them up to dry. After we draped them on the porch the way we wanted them, we started cutting them to make them look aged with lots of small holes and loads of big rips and tears.
