Thanks so much, gents.I'm really happy with this guy.
That's a stunning piece of work.
Hey Rot, Great work as always. Whats the secret to the color that you get? Is that stain or paint. I love the way you lit this piece as well. Keep up the great work.
I mix a lot of shades of brown together to get the right feel - burnt umber, fawn, camel... the pumpkin is a great color - terra cotta. The last step is a wet wash of paint diluted with water. It fills in the cracks with darker or lighter colors - the body was washed with diluted black. The head with a color called glazed carrot. It's a technique I picked up from Bean and it's really changed the way my props turn out.
IT'S WHAT NIGHTMARES ARE MADE OF!
Amazing work Mr.Rot! Evolution Man! Love the hybrids and cross breeding. I need to get me some of those pumpkin seeds.
Awesome! Great job on layering the paint colors. It's amazing what can be done with a little dry-brushing and washing.
I bow down to your greatness! Wow your props just keep getting better and more interesting! Very nice work.
