I once had a furniture delivery where the guys unwrapped the chair's plastic and let it blow away.  It was a huge piece of clear light plastic.  It slowly floated away and across a field near the house.  I figured I'd go collect it after the truck pulled away.  They were only there ten minutes.
I looked across and it was gone.  It must have slithered into a nearby patch of woods.  It had started to get really windy, but I was surprised it didn't catch on any of the thorny bushes surrounding the trees. 
Maybe I should have hunted for it.  Maybe I subconsciously liked the idea it was going to be a tree ghost in some form [for eternity].
Maybe I'm a polluter.
