Fantasy

I grew up seeing this man's art all around me. And I remember trying to sketch some of his beautiful curvy ladies.

It's the fantasy art of Frank Frazetta.
He passed away today at the age of 82.

About the artist.

A gallery here.

I heard about it this morning. I saw the documentary on him about a year ago.

Thank you for the tribute.

He defined the genre. His characters unmistakably lived in their world.

a sad loss---he did, indeed, bring fantasy to life.

His paintings truly defined my mind's image of Conan. A huge chunk of my childhood dies with him!

I'm still in shock upon finding out about his passing. Steve said it perfectly, and Frank's technique and beautiful work inspired many an artistic career. Even with his recent health problems, this is sad news indeed.
