Okay, I want a poster of that!

What strikes me about almost all of these pumpkins is how small their features are. The eyes are slits, and most of the mouths are just bigger slits. Hardly any have teeth. Seems like pumpkins today have bigger openings all around, letting more light out; I prefer it that way. So much wasted real estate on these pumpkins.

I keep picturing all those guys scattering out around the neighborhood, running from one house to the next. They look like they just can't wait for Halloween!

And yeah, Ralphie's there! I've always wondered what his Halloweens were like.

Little dudes in ties and coats...ah the "good ol' days". Me pa tells me tales of the times when you wouldn't be caught dead at a university football game without a coat and tie. Happy kids. Crazy...happy...kids.

This is pretty dang wonderful.

Ahhhhhh... Simpler times. All those kids and not a single cell phone, blackberry or iPod in the group. No flash-mobs, no snarky online Facebook comments... And they would never have needed those things either. *SIGH*....

You know what be so great? A "then and now" recreation of this photo. A bunch of smiling old men in suits holding up their jack o'lanterns again.
