Martha's Halloween Special

"Halloween was also a grim affair: There were no costumes. There was no anything. We turned off all the lights and pretended we weren't home."

From Alexis Stewart's book Whateverland: Learning to Live Here

A new Halloween special from her mom Martha Stewart.
On tonight.

Thanks, Sara!

LOL. I totally saw that and was going to send you the link but her uncomfortableness just wasn't on screen long enough for me to make it worth my while. Glad you posted it, though! :D

I'm a complete goon as far as Martha Stewart goes. No interest in her story or anything other than her Halloween stuff. Someone inform me on that quote from her daughter. Is the Martha Stewart thing a giant lie (in a Halloween sense)?

If I wrap myself into a cocoon and emerge months later as a mothra Martha I promise to feature your props on my show. Weekly.

Ended up watching the special. It was Martha's professional team putting together a haunted attraction of sorts on her own property. She did absolutely nothing but maybe handle a few gravestones and play with neon-colored slime. I dunno, left a lot to be desired.

The end bit was funny if only for the randomness of Justin Long (wth?!) who decided to stop by. Is he in the new Teen Wolf remake(assuming there is one) or something?

Meh. *shrug* Martha is an evil genius, though. She has totally built this empire and seems to not lift a finger, lol.

I frankly don't care what Martha does in her everyday life. I like the Halloween ideas presented on her show and in her books. They really jump started the cool home decor decorating trend that's given us a lot of higher-end merchandise this time of year. Yeah, the economy has hurt that some, but you have to give MS Inc credit where it's due.

I liked it. I thought the green slime was cool and some of the paper Mache pumpkins had some promise.

One of my man eating plants made an appearance on her show the other day. I'm not the biggest fan in the world, but that was kind of cool.
