Bold

I remember seeing this around the neighborhood when I was a kid. Seemed like a very bold decoration at the time. Like almost too bold. Like it was bordering on inappropriate.

Here's to the risk-takers who hung this on their front door when I was young.
You guys were bold. Bold.

Oh yes, I remember this. My dad had a few of these and LOVED to scare me with them when I was little. They were glow in the dark too.

I love that one! I don't know why, because I'm pretty stringent when it come to skulls. If I were to find a glowing green skull in the stores today I'd pass it by with a grumble, but this old, one really makes me happy. Almost as happy as when I found large and small Beistle jointed skeleton last year in some store that I just happened upon.

Old and bold is okay with me. (I'm sure that's kinda self-serving since maybe there are some who would define me the same way.)

These kinds of decorations made the Halloween of my youth wonderful.

And those skeletons and witches with accordion arms and legs. I loved those.

I've always had a soft spot for these guys.

How did Halloween decor producers seem to get it right most of the time back then and now we have to wade through rivers of junk just to find one piece that is worthwhile?

Maybe I'm just being picky and nostalgic.

I remember those!! God...brings back some awesome memories! We didn't have any of the decorations with the accordion arms and legs...but the elemenary school that I went to did. I loved coming to school to see the classroom decorated. So much fun!
