Precautions And All That

The pre-Halloween set-up was a success.  Got some cool photos and had a really great time.  There were moments where I was convinced it really was Halloween night.

I'm hoping that this stupid storm doesn't do what they're saying.  In anticipation of the wide-spread power outages they're predicting, I'll be setting a blog entry to post on Halloween morning.  I'll have a few of my favorite photos from last night's shoot in there.  Doing it prior to the High Holiday just didn't seem right (though the blog heading photo is from last night).

If the power IS out on Halloween and beyond, I'll take this time to wish everyone a magical and safe Halloween.  Hope the night is a blast and you get tons of trick-or-treaters and beautiful weather.

Happy Halloween!

We committed to a party last night otherwise we'd likely have done the same. Still, it was kid friendly, so the entire family enjoyed it. Its something anyway.

Hoping for Wednesday to be spared but doesn't look good. Like to put up a partial anyway. I'm hoping to set up Saturday and take pics and vids. Maybe throw a small party around it.

Above all, safe passage through this to you and everyone else.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween, Rot&Bean! Looking forward to your shots, eagerly!!! You guys are kinda doing a different "look" on your jackos (like on your header), no? Curious to see what the whole thing looks like all put together! Sounds like you had a good turn out for your faux Halloween last night.:)

Snagged a mini jacko of Bean's from Primitives by Kathy, yesterday at this Country store I frequent. Just sittin' there on a shelf, chillin'. Now he's chillin' in our home. :) Making his whole corner more Halloween-y by his presence.

You're awesome.

And yep...a different look for those jackos... to fit the rest of the display >: )

Happy Halloween!

May the weather gods have mercy on you.

Loving the look of this years jackos - like they were carved by a maniac.

Or a witch.

Rot and Bean, Have a Safe and Wonderful Halloween!!!! It's not fair that your getting the weather your getting. You inspire us all year, I would trade you our weather if I could. The no electricity thing on Halloween might be cooly primitive though if you don't get the rain... Can't wait to see the pics :) be safe!!!

Good luck!

The storms are pretty much keeping me from setting up my display this year. The gusty winds are worse than the rain in this regard. I'll still be putting a few things up...

But I hope all or YOUR plans go well, so I can enjoy the pictures! :)

Hope everything turout ok for you two. May the Great Pumpkin protect us all on this great holiday. Your blog is the one thing that is keeping a shred of the Halloween feeling alive during this crappy situation. Thanks for all you do. And stay safe.

Wishing you both many Blessings for the High Holiday as well as better weather than what is predicted. Feeling guilty for impending upper 60's to 70's weather here in Colorado. Hoping your Halloween will still be happy & majickal!!! Can't wait to see your pics of the haunt this year!

Thanks, all.
So far so good.
3PM through 11PM is supposed to be the worst of the rain. The wind is supposed to linger.
They keep telling us the power is going to go out at some point, so we'll see what happens.

I feel so badly for people along the coast and along creeks and rivers. Terrible mess.

As someone who lives in a hurricane-prone area, my thoughts and prayers are with you and Bean. I've never seen a storm hit this late into the year, and the idea of it interferring with Our Holiday is just so...wrong! I truly hope it clears out in time for y'all to be able to really celebrate.Hang in there.

Happy Halloween guys. The storm actually made the weather Halloween worthy for once here in the south. Wish it was the same for you guys.

Good luck and stay safe :D

Think about it this way - You have just earned the right to begin any scary story you want with this opening sentence; "It was a dark and stormy night ... but not just any, it was the darkest and stormiest Halloween night of ever! And I was there."

it is part of the holiday to see what you two end up with. All the best.
