Im hoping this will be a recurring scent, but I have the suspicion that they'll only produce it once (especially if they're only selling it online)

I got to be able to smell it before I buy it.

Well, maybe I should get one and stand outside a Yankee candle store and let people smell it....

Hmm...what sale is this? Their site currently shows it at full price. They've been out of the votive samplers for a while now.

odd...I screen shot that yesterday afternoon...but now the sale seems to be over.

Always a good idea to have an online only candle...since NO ONE likes to smell them before purchasing! These folks are brilliant marketers!

uggggh. well, that's being mighty stingy.
you know, scents are a very sensitive issue. the wrong one (especially where perfume is concerned) can give you the headache of a lifetime & even make you feel kinda vomity too. & i LOVE a thick rick autumn candle scent, but man, this isn't being very nice to your fans for sure. boo. mos def, the wrong kinda marketing ploy. even tho it's Yankee, there is a chance, it could be a waste of $.

So ironically Yankee Candle sent me a catelog with scratch-n-sniffs of their new candles. I know they probably aren't accurate, but if they are this candle smells too cinnamony. Reminds me of Christmas. For the record, my mom always burned the Pumpkin Spice candle in October growing up, so that's the smell I associate with Halloween.

I happened to go by a Yankee Candle store while visiting my sister in Indiana last week. I went in to inquire about this scent and the sales person said they had a scratch and sniff sample of it in their catalog. I tried it and unfortunately it just smelled like... catalog. =(

I received this candle a few days ago and I have to say I loved it so much that I went back online and purchased another one on their 2 for $36 sale just to make sure I wouldn't run out. Really reminds me of the whole witchy/dusky/end of harvest scene. I guess beauty is in the nose of the beholder.

Cool.
Thanks for the description.

Sounds quite nice.

I broke down and ordered Autumn Dusk along with Autumn Lodge this morning. So hoping Autumn Dusk smells as amazing as Gingerbreadlady's description.

Just came from Yankee online.. Their 2 for 36 sale is back on. Actually I ended up with 2 for $30. Not sure how that happened but not complaining.

Got the catalog, got the scratch n sniff. Nope, not liking Autumn Dusk, as wonderful as the name sounds. Honey crisp Apple Cider, Autumn in the Park and Autumn Wreath are where it's at. Go on, run to your local Yankee Candle and smell them. Go on, I'll wait.
