Never Alone

Bean gives the coolest gifts, and yesterday was no exception. The last gift handed to me was a heavy one...in a narrow box, wrapped with dark paper and black tissue. The book Haunted Houses by photographer and author Corinne May Botz lay inside. The image on the cover is below.

Her photography is amazing and the pages contain accounts by the inhabitants of haunted homes. Subtle and chilling, like ghost stories for darkened rooms or dying fires.

I was thrilled to find the author's site, which includes the actual recordings of some of the tales found within the book.

Click here to listen to them (the last one is my personal favorite).

And click here to see some of the photos contained in the book.

And click HERE to order Haunted Houses.

Holy Tarra says, "I really like her site! Her blog project, "The Secret Life of Objects", was especially interesting to me since my own work is centered around "quirky" still life." I'm going to have to go back to it after the Christmas cleanup and spend a little more time reading it. Very Cool!"
