Cabinet Of Curiosities

Author Lesley Bannatyne caught me on a non-antisocial non-misanthropic day and the result was an interview for her website.

Thank you for the interview Rot. Although I can appreciate your wishes of anonymity, your work is appreciated and respected by so many that you've become somewhat of a Halloween celebrity and it's interesting to read about the man behind the work.

Really great interview. It was cool to read how you started a small web site to just show your work and then grew to a popular web site. Thanks for the post!

Well, for all the years I have been following you man, seeing the words "Pumpkinrot" and "interview" in the same sentence made me do a double take. Of all people, I am glad you did it with her... she just seems like a really cool person. That was a great read. Funny thing... I ordered 2 copies of her book just last week as gifts from Boarders...now they are shutting down and my books are "lost in transit". Lame.

Nice interview, Rot. As everybody always says, you are amazing talent and the Halloween World is lucky to have you.

I'm also kinda glad that you *are* anti-social and mysterious. I just don't think it'd be the same if everybody knew the face behind Pumpkinrot. Like you said, your work and interests and blogs, etc, *are* who you are. I like that. Especially in today's world where there is so much overexposure, it's nice to keep them guessing.

Well done. :)

Fear not.
Won't be happening again.

Such a great interview. And I can completely relate to a lot of things you've said. Particularly the one about the use of twisted branches and such - I want to take whole forests home sometimes.

And it's kinda cool that you're anonymous. I have only two faces I can put to you, Trick or Treat (your profile pic), or a salt shaker :)
