I love Fridays.

That one reminds me when I was young. Me and my friends would run around the graveyard freaking ourselves out thinking somebody would come out of the ground and attack us.

Good times :)

I didn't grow up near a graveyard but there was a haunted house on the way home from my school. To this day, I'm not sure if anyone ever lived there. It was a huge old mansion with overgrown grounds. We used to dare each other to run up and touch the front door. That took some guts.

Oh, what a brave little Pumpkin Head!
Jeez, I love these weekly comics!

There was an old abandoned barn near where I grew up that was the "double dare you" place to go in at night. I did it once with one of my brothers. All bravado, really- we were terrified. I ran out like my hair was on fire when an owl flew out of the hayloft.

Yeah, my bro thinks so, too. Tells it on me every once in a while :->

This comic instantly transported me back to my youth.

We held many seances in the dark musty basement of grandmother's house. A candle placed in the center of a cross-legged circle with knees touching to make sure no one pulled any funny business. We had to work for it, but eventually after several serious commands for the spirit to give us a sign a loud banging noise came from the ceiling above. We tore out of that the basement screaming, some crying. After the fright wore off I'd laugh until my stomach hurt and want to do it again. How we didn't burn the place down I'll never know.

It wasn't until we were older we found out it was my aunt and mom banging on the floor above us.

Good times!
