What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

A biotech company in the U.S. has been granted ethical permission by an Institutional Review Board in the U.S. and India to use 20 brain-dead patients for what is sure to be a highly controversial study: From next year, they plan to stimulate their nervous systems in order to restart the brains. Bioquark is hoping that its part in the groundbreaking ReAnima project will reveal if people can at least partly be brought back from the dead.

man that dude sitting on the stripey mattress gave me the beetlejuice vibes.

idk man it's hard for me to just dismiss someone's body, no matter what the circumstances are. i look at people around me & think to myself that they're all someone's child, someone carried them around inside of them for nine months & maybe they even had wonderful hopes & dreams for them & regardless of how they end up: homeless, or whatever else the sad outcome turns out to be, they deserve respect both mentally & physically. you can't just throw people away like we do with everything else. so idk, this is very rough & sad.

i remember that short from before. that shoe really did it for me!! Karl M gets it, he gets the gloomies & all that stuff that holds it hand. what a world sometimes.

Girl6- I get the "everyone is someone child that they had high hopes and dreams for" mindset. Always odd to think even regardless of the outcome, that person was once hoped to be perfect

Adam...yeah, so strange how things can turnout. recently, i finished watching season 2 of The Knick & re-watched Bride of Re-Animator & both left me feeling kinda sad. sad for how you can end up in the wrong hands, be mistreated (committed to asylums, abused etc) destroyed & then just tossed aside. mind you, Re-Animator is a pretty sensational film & packed with lots of humour but then again, the thought of a real Herbert West is pretty scary. one person's zombie is another man's love scary. look at Frankentein's Creature. life is flimsy.
