Tonight On Monsters And Mysteries

Flipping through the guide and I see a description of a new Monsters and Mysteries which says "Aliens Cloned My Husband."

What on EARTH could this possibly be about?

Can't WAIT to watch it.
And I refuse to Google it.

Unrelated Photo.  Or IS it?

Figures

To us, Satan is the symbol that best suits the nature of we who are carnal by birth—people who feel no battles raging between our thoughts and feelings, we who do not embrace the concept of a soul imprisoned in a body. He represents pride, liberty, and individualism—qualities often defined as Evil by those who worship external deities, who feel there is a war between their minds and emotions.

Someone Should Call The Humane Society

And they should shoot the monkey in the face and save the dinosaurs.
You know how I feel about monkeys.

We watched this tonight and really dug it.  I'm surprised more horror fans haven't gone on about this one.

Mr. Jones Artwork Revealed

So awesome to see the final design for MR. JONES on dreadcentral.com

Mr. Jones Release Date

At shocktillyoudrop.com:
Anchor Bay announced today that it has set a May 6th release date for Mr. Jones, a film that debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival early last year.

The film will have an exclusive theatrical run in Los Angeles on May 2nd.
Scott (Jon Foster) and Penny (Sarah Jones) just moved to a remote cabin to escape the pressures of the world and breathe new life into their art. But they’ll soon discover they are not alone: an infamously reclusive artist – known only as ‘Mr. Jones’ – lives nearby.
He doesn’t like to be disturbed, and only comes out at night when he drags his strange, sinister sculptures deep into the woods.  When Scott and Penny’s curiosity leads them too close for Mr. Jones’ comfort, he plunges the young couple into a nightmare world of mayhem, madness and mind-bending terror.
Diane Neal, Mark Steger and David Clennon co-star in this startling tale from debut director Karl Mueller (screenwriter of Xavier Gens’ The Divide).

Sinister Sculptures by Pumpkinrot

I added that last line.

Was really hoping for a theatrical run in some major cities on the east coast, but this is still insanely exciting and cool and surreal.  Hopefully a trailer is released soon.

I've been told it'll have a strong VOD and dvd release, so I'm hoping to see it in Redbox as well.  I'll pose for a photo next to it.  With the whole thumbs-up thing going on.

The Art Of Jamie Heiden

From her site:
All of my finished images start with a photograph I’ve taken. I really do get the most satisfaction out of this beginning moment. From there, utilizing tools on my computer; my virtual darkroom, I add layers of additional images – sometimes creating a new reality but more often just showing a little slice of what I saw at that moment in time. Painting with my mouse as my brush is what it feels like and painterly is definitely a resulting affect. But it’s the texture, color and depth that are my drivers. And simplicity and story, my inspiration.
