The Gray Witch

Was inspired by the skull-faced witches I've been finding out there so I converted one of my Corn Witch victims last night.

Here she is drying after phase one.
I'm thinking about keeping her as just a bust and adding thick twig shoulders/upper arms.
It seems like stick arms are common on witch props and I love how it looks.
Then I'll drape her in some cloth.

The skull is from Walgreens from last Halloween. The detail is amazing.

Love this one !

Thanks : )

Just something about a skull-faced witch. No emotions at all...not even evil ones.

You'd get tied up and diced and boiled and it'd just be a cold skull looking at you the whole time.

You are a beast ROT. A beast. Stunning visual design. I concur on the subject of the stick arms. She needs some kind of flappy cape though I think.

What is the hat made from?

The hat's made from a piece of rolled-up brown paper wrapped with duct tape to get the shape. The brim is made from chunks of torn cardboard held together with duct tape.

Ha! love this one! I'm continually amazed at what you come up with...at any rate, I like the idea of leaving her as a bust--that way she can sit around on tables as much as she wants!

That looks so so good. Definitely like the bust style. Excellent Rot.

Unbelievable and wonderful! You just amaze and wow everytime you come up with an idea. I like the idea of just having it in bust form.

amazing neck detail!
where do you get your skulls?

i live in new zealand and (tragically) have zero supply of skulls.

I picked my skulls up at a chain of stores called Walgreens.

Never saw that type before. They were very detailed and very cheap - $8.99 I think.

Problem with a lot of these straight-from-china decorations is that they appear one year and never return, and you can never find them off season.
