Now Playing: Halloween IV

Fantastic score by John Carpenter's co-composer Alan Howarth, who proves he's quite the musical force with his own voice. The first track is brilliant in that the familiar and expected Carpenter Halloween motif is missing until the tail end of the piece. I recall reading an interview with Howarth where he described his intro music as needing wind-like ghostly sounds for the slow creepy main credits. And it works like a dream.

This is an absolutely fantastic soundtrack, comparable to Carpenter's original score. Wonderfully creepy!
