Snow

Over a foot of snow is on the way. And I was one of those people who was out of milk and bread and hit up the store after work yesterday. It was packed with senior citizens. Senior citizens who had an entire day to take care of the milk and bread situation.
But they chose to go when I had to go.

Destroy them, Evil Snowman.

bleh. don't you love that? There should be windows of time where only poor working stiffs get a couple of hours to do all the things they can't while slaving away in corporate hell.

I usually have a few days worth of stuff in the house, and usually dont bother hitting the store before a storm. But like you, I was out of everything, and had to go last night. Man, what a pain. The lines were like a half-hour long.

Yeah...Powerball just came to New Jersey and the lines were out the door this morning -majority of older folk. EACH of them had a story to tell the cashier about what they would do with the money.

These 2 radio DJs in Los Angeles have very strong opinions about old people(jokingly, of course). They think we should eat them. They also composed a song called "Eat All The Old People". Here is a lyric:

"You gotta eat all the old people!
shove em in an oven!
Eat all the old people
tell em that you love em..."

and on and on. lol.It has a Beastie Boys tune to it. Anyway, I heart the old people, but I see your frustration.

I usually wait until there is a couple inches of snow on the ground, then I go out driving around to get my stuff. I grew up driving in snow so it is second nature to me.

Then again I have been told I am not right in the head....

In Washington State we just ship them all to Arizona. It's the stay-at-home-mom's blocking the aisles talking about Jimmy's grades and Sally's dance recital that makes me do what my husband calls "Angry Jazz Hands".

I got no gripe with the old-timers. They've seen enough crap in their lifetime.

Come on now, everybody knows that the only thing you can do when it snows, is sit around and drink milk and eat bread. ;)
