Bats, Crows, And TrickOrTreat

The giant cauldron looked lonely out on the porch, so we decided to move TrickOrTreat out there. The neighbors are calling him The Pumpkin Man.

Great setup. The greenish cast is very eerie.

Perfect! I love the anticipation he exudes. Just think of the nefarious things that will happen in that cauldron.

Damn, wish we lived on the same street. Would love to see that every night. My house is the only one to put anything out.

Thanks!
A friend of my parents was selling his house, and he had that out on his front lawn and asked them if they knew anyone that wanted it. They called me and my first reaction was "I just don't know...it's awfully big..." and Melissa yelled "WE'LL TAKE IT!"

I forgot to mention...the previous owner said that the cauldron was from a very old Polish Butcher shop. And he built the tripod for it.

He looks absolutely charming!

LOVE the cauldron!

wow! and to think you didn't even design him for that set up
did you have to modify his pose at all? it's almost too perfect a match to be coincidence

Didn't even own the cauldron when I built him. So it worked out just right.

And he started to settle and his head is lower than when I first built him, so it really worked out like a dream. I just plopped him next to it.

The green light inside the cauldon makes it all work.

It's unny... but I don't think it;s scary at all. I think he looks really pprecious and charming! I think it's the orange twinkle lights in the window.

Also, I LOVE the brick detail around the windows of your home!!! Is it an older home?

Everything here on the West Coast is always so new. A house gets dusty around here and people start screaming to tear it down and build a new one!

Cheers

I think TrickOrTreat is a creature who is accidentally destructive.

Yep. Really old house. Built in the 30s.

Those orange lights are actually reflecting in the window...they're around the outer rim of the porch, above the display. The green and orange really works well together.
