Target Has Always Been Cool

Rhode Montijo shot me an email with the link to a blog which featured the source of that awesome clown face - Target's 2003 Halloween store display. Fantastic!

More pics at the Secret Fun Blog.

Thanks, Rhode!

I love Secret Fun Blog, btw. Great blog!

I am such a Target-aholic and always have bee, even when Target wasn't so cool....which was like in the early 90's maybe?

Ever since they starter hiring great graphic designers for their seasonal products, their cool factor has definitely shot up.

Plus, I think I have an obsession with their dollar bins....

It's a horrible confession, but I never went into a Target store prior to 2007.....I missed out on YEARS of cool stuff.

As a graphic design, I was, and still am a huge fan of CSA Design in Minneapolis who did that whole campaign......i remember going into the local Target at the time and just being BLOWN away!!! Of course I asked the manager about all the cool plastic 'masks' hanging from the ceiling and if I could have any of the displays when they were done and i think they said 'no, it all goes back to the distribution center'....i was soon bummed....but i DO have 3 masks I bough a number of years ago, so anybody is interested, let me know........
