Wow, that is sad news. Biomechanics was my newest passion back in the eighties. Necronomicon and Giger's Alien have been in my library forever. He truly inspired a genre in the film industry.

This man left so many indelible images on me during my adolescence. Alien, the pages of Omni and Heavy Metal magazines, the covers of records like To Mega Therion by Celtic Frost. Terrible beauty. Disturbing and transfixing. Brilliant. This is a huge loss.

Was shocked to hear this, he was still fairly young.

True visionary and master. His last name alone conjures up so many memories, ignites discussion and elicits unparalleled awe. Nobody else like him.
