2022 Daytime Leftovers

I remember when daylight savings time got extended into November because it added an extra daytime hour on Halloween. And we all know that a creepy graveyard haunt just isn't that creepy on a sunny afternoon. Darkness is a haunter's friend.
But in your case, Rot, I'll make an exception. Your haunts are creepy 24/7.

I recall that as well and I was miserable about it at the time. Meanwhile, it really had no effect. Kids still start arriving when it's pretty much dark out. Well, the older kids. So it all worked out.

And a huge thanks for that compliment.

I love the way you make your haunts all look like they've been there for years. I've always tried to do the same, your cemetery should look like it's decades old at least. Not enough haunters use the dead leaves that are part of Fall in their displays like you have always done.
I used to save some of the leaves from the backyard to use on Halloween night.

Mr Macabre, I love the dead leaves in a haunt as well. I used to work with a lady who had a huge maple in her front yard and she would bag the leaves and bring them to me to use in my graveyard. I kept about 20 large bags in the garage to use in the yard haunt. The crackling, crunching, and the scent; you simply can't beat the real thing.

A beautiful haunt under controlled lighting conditions is always treat.

When that display remains a fully transformed environment in the full light of day, it's on another level.

Thank you!

When we had our home, we had 9 deciduous trees in the front and back yard, so I always had a free supply. We had 2 different types of maples in the back yard, so I saved some of each color for Halloween night.
