Frighton Cemetery

Impressive haunt. I love the branches and cornstalks throughout the cemetery.

And I'm totally going to use some form of tikki torch flames in my 2009 display.

They make a huge impact, I love them and think I will use them every year. I should have taken a few pictures with all my lights off, where the haunt was lit just by the torches. (Idea for next year, I guess!)

Flames? Really, good to know that the idea is alive and well. I love the look. I have spent a lot of time (and money) replacing all my candles. Mostly for safety, partly because of how long it took to light them all....and most of all I live in the Northwest and it rains here ALL the time.

But I like the idea of using them for the photos. Husband created a separate low voltage wiring system (lower than the LEDs) just for my candles.....I can hear the "You have got to be kidding me?" (along with a few other words) that I am going to get when I mention it :)

I used 30+ real candles in my haunt this past year.....I will not be using that many this year. It not only made the haunt to bright, but was to hot for my fog to stick to the ground. Im going to cut the amount of candles in half this year, but yes I love real fire in a haunt. Rot, I think some really midievil looking torches would look great in your haunt, like a iron disc on a post with a open flame in them...like burning oil.
