Haunted Air

By Ossian Brown.
A book of anonymous vintage Halloween photographs, with a forward by David Lynch.

First heard about this book on K.O.'s wonderful Halloween blog, and now I see it's out of print and out of stock and some clowns are trying to sell it at insanely high prices.

Here's to a re-issue (or a freak find at a yard sale).

That figures. Looks like it would be a really great book to have. Like you said, lets hope for a re-issue....

Those are great shots..however, your polaroids are just as good. Here's an idea, how about a new book? Maybe in another 75 years, yours will be snatching $5,000.00

Out-of-print??? Really??? Wow. Makes me feel incredibly fortunate to have bought it from Amazon when I did. I really feel like I own a unique and precious gem now. The photos reek of atmosphere and creepiness. And the essay that follows the pictures is very thought provoking while capturing the dark and moody sensations of the photographs themselves. I cannot recommend this book enough. Hopefully, this pops up again as a re-print. A real treasure.

Damn--I knew I should have bought that book back when I posted about it. :( Thanks for mentioning my blog, though! :) And happy New Year to all!

Amen, October Boy.

Should we expect Haunt Theory to be released this year?

Probably never.
I'm discovering that "Author" isn't one of my stronger qualities.
