Remakes

Was reading about the new FRIGHT NIGHT now being a 3D movie and needed to remind myself that not all remakes turn out being garbage (though most seem to).

Here's one that definitely pulled it off:

In my opinion, you can't ruin a zombie movie remake unless it is done very cheaply.(then again I am a zombie movie freak)

I just really cannot stand 3~D movies.I don't like sitting there watching a movie wearing a pair of glasses.

Yeah, one thing I liked about this remake was that there were a number of killing that took place off-screen. It wasn't like they were determined to get every single killing on screen in full blood soaked gore. There was some actual emotional heft to the movie.

I really don't get the 3D thing.
I feel the same way about sitting in a theater with those glasses on my face.

I haven't seen a 3D movie since the "Treasure of the Four Crowns" back when I was a kid. And I got dizzy.

Couldn't agree more. You could tell right away that the Dawn remake was in the hands of grown-ups who knew how to show the property the proper respect.

Not a fan of the 3-D craze either. The only thing that sounds remotely interesting about the Fright Night remake is that David Tennant might be in it. Other than that, I'm not a huge fan of remakes. But I also did enjoy Dawn of the Dead.

I didn't either, definitely will rent it.

Also, the 3-D thing is so annoying. Mostly because you are charged like 3 bucks extra to view it. Booooo.
