Although there are senseless vandals out there, every year my Halloween countdown sign is put up very close to the street. It would be safer to place it close to my house, but then little people wouldn't be able to read it. This way children can get their parents to drive by so they can count down the days to Halloween. Lots of people tell me that I'm stupid and that someone will mess with it.....after five years of doing this, it remains untouched. I think there is a certain reverence over some things that maybe vandals worry about disturbing. I would think Halloween karma would be orange and black "B" to come back at anyone that were ever to damage my sign. (I've heard they call me the witch of Mulberry Street....)

Roadside happiness.
Weird fabulous. I'd looooove to happen upon that.
Beautiful! I would have pulled over to take a picture, too!
Nice.. I'd be worried the stupid people would destroy it

Wish I could drive by something like that here. Don't even know what time of year it is judging by my neighborhood.
