Jay, me too... I actually felt mad at myself for not thinking of it. My brain couldn’t think beyond that premolded plastic grin I guess. Thanks Rot, for posting this fantastic idea!
<333 oh wOw..totally from like the mind of Rob Zombie, especially his Halloween duo. the best Halloween decoration recipes are usually the simple & inexpensive ones. i saw a cool one the other day for spiders. the bodies were pine cones & the legs were crooked little twigs & man...they were Gorgeous!!!! i'm totally making a bunch for the kids party at the Free Library. maybe, i'll add some hair to em & hang em from some branches.
These are great!! Yep, all I do is kick myself for not thinking of these clever gems. Girl6 I really would like to try the spider idea as well...sounds earthy!
yeah Autumnleaf..& so inexpensive too. just some black paint for the bodies..dep glue (SO strong) for the twig legs..& some twine. & since they're so earthy, there's really no wrong way to put them together. it's a real win.
Walmart of all places came out with super deep orange pails this year with an old school face design. Their airbrushing is so bad you pretty much already get this lol. For 1.99
Take the pail and put one of these handy flicker lights in and hang from a tree. Super cool Halloween decoration..

Thanks for this. I'm gonna do this with mine. Great idea.
These are beautiful. It's all I can do to not run out and make a few right now. What a great idea...
I wonder what kind of paint that is. Acrylic?
I'd think a nice couple layers of water-based acrylic would block out the light inside....
